Oyster

Oyster: Born in South West France nearby the Atlantic Ocean, I love sea creatures.

A very thick shell protects and filters one of them the oyster in sea water.

In this monumental painting, I enlarged the dimensions of the oyster (180cm X130 cm). The preparation of the support (animal glue on linen) is part of the representation. The oyster is painted with oil and tar.

This painting is made  of tar and oil paint on canvas. Its size makes it a perfect painting for large rooms with straight walls. This extra-large painting is 200 cm high and 130 cm wide. The neutral colours and modern style makes this artwork suitable for all interiors, living rooms, as well as offices and open business spaces. It will fit perfectly in a fish restaurant.
